Iranian chess player runner-up in Russian champs

Tehran, Dec 29, IRNA – Iranian Chess player Sara Sadat Khadem al-Sharieh ranked 2nd in rapid category of the King Salman World Rapid and Blitz Championships which is underway in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The event started on December 25 and will be wrapped up on December 31.
Khademalsharieh is an Iranian chess player who holds the titles of International Master and Woman Grandmaster.

She participated in the Russian championships with2402 rating.

According to Russian Chess Federation website, the guaranteed prize fund is USD 1,150,000: FIDE Open World Rapid Championship - USD 350,000, FIDE Open World Blitz Championship - USD 350,000, FIDE Women’s World Rapid Championship - USD 150,000, FIDE Women’s World Blitz Championship - USD 150,000.
