Pope says Quds a common heritage of all religions

Tehran, March 31, IRNA – King Mohammed VI of Morocco and Head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State Pope Francis in a document underlined keeping Holy Quds as common heritage of monotheistic religions.

According to ‘Sky News Arabia’, in their document, both sides emphasized the importance of preserving Holy Quds as a common heritage for followers of Islam, Christianity and Judaism.

Stressing defending freedom of conscience and religion, Pope Francis said it is necessary to confront extremism and radicalism by solidarity among believers.

Meanwhile, King of Morocco called for preventing extremism through training instead of military confrontation.

Pope who is in Rabat upon invitation of the king of Morocco is slated to deliver speech on Sunday.

Earlier, King of Jordan Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein called for helping Holy Quds and establishing independent Palestine, saying nothing is more important than supporting Quds.

Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein underlined Jordan’s efforts to achieve an efficient solution to address international crises, especially the conflicts between Palestine and the Zionist regime of Israel.
