the Egyptian General Company for Tourism and Hotels (EGOTH) is one of Egypt’s largest state-owned tourism and hospitality companies. The company has an authorized capital of EGP 900 million and an issued and fully paid-up capital of EGP 961.150 million, with all of its shares owned by the state through the Holding Company for Tourism and Hotels. EGOTH owns and manages a diversified portfolio of tourism assets and development projects, including the renovation and development of major hotels and tourism facilities. It also holds equity interests in 14 affiliated companies operating primarily in the tourism and hospitality sectors, with a total book value of EGP 310 million. In addition, the company contributes to hospitality education through a number of specialized institutes that grant bachelor’s degrees and diplomas in tourism and hotel management, reinforcing its strategic role in supporting the growth and development of Egypt’s tourism industry.
