Iran, Indonesia sign MoU on health cooperation

Tehran, May 22, IRNA – Iran's Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education Saeed Namaki said on Wednesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Indonesia signed a memorandum of understanding on expansion of mutual cooperation in health and medical treatment sectors.

Under the MoU, the two countries are to broaden cooperation in production of vaccines, pharmaceutical drugs, PHC, fight against contagious disease, first aid, health management and natural disasters.

Iran attaches importance to the expansion of cooperation with Asian countries in this sector, Namaki said.

Iran and Indonesia can bolster and expand mutual cooperation in other health sectors with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), he said.
